Solo ride

It was sunny and cool. I headed up Hwy 9 into a headwind to Felton, then up Felton-Empire to Empire Grade. About a third of the way up, just after Krazy Acres Lane, I overtook a group of 6 in matching jerseys who were climbing fairly leisurely. On Empire Grade, I turned left and headed down with a tailwind.

Solo ride

It was a warm day, though cool in the shade. I headed up Glen Canyon to Scotts Valley, then up Bean Creek, Glenwood, and Mtn Charlie to Summit Rd. There was smoke from wood fires at many places. On Summit, I crossed over Hwy 17, then headed down Soquel-San Jose. After going up Laurel Glen and down Mountain View, I headed back via Branciforte.

Solo ride

It was sunny and cold. I headed north on Hwy 1, then turned up Bonny Doon. Near the bottom, on the right side of the road, was a motorcycle missing its rear wheel. The roads were damp in the shade. At Empire Grade, I turned right and headed down.

Solo ride

It was chilly and overcast when I started out. I headed up Hwy 9 and the sun was out by the time I got to Felton. It remained sunny, though with lots of clouds in the sky the remainder of the ride. It also remained chilly. I continued up Hwy 9, Glen Arbor, and Hwy 9 to Boulder Creek, then took Hwy 236. I started up Jamison Creek at 1:30. There were four or five pickup trucks hauling mountain bikes going up and down Jamison Creek. There was also another truck that left a wake of stinking fumes headed down. I got to the top at 1:56, just before 1:57, for a time of 26:28. At the top, I turned left and headed down Empire Grade.
