Saturday harbor ride

It was warmer, but still slightly chilly early on. The sun glared in the eastern sky. On San Andreas, the pack split after Buena Vista, and I was near the back of the second pack. There was enough horsepower at the front of the second pack to keep the first pack close, and might have caught the tail end of the first pack not far after the bridge before the end, but I couldn't tell, being buried at the end of the pack.

After the long and short route riders split off, there were only six of us left doing Hazel Dell. I got dropped on the descent and soloed into Corralitos, then went slowly over Hames with 3 others, then continued with them on Freedom and Soquel rather than taking Day Valley, Valencia, and Trout Gulch as I usually do when riding alone.
