For Memorial Day, I rode almost all of the route of the Santa Cruz Mountains Challenge. I started off going up La Madrona, Mount Hermon, and Bean Creek to join the route on Glenwood, skipping the first mile or two from Scotts Valley High. I also skipped Old Summit Road, staying on Summit Road. I finished the last of my food in Felton, and didn't stop at the Summit Market or Casalegnos, so I suffered going up Granite Creek. I stopped at Wendy's at the end of Granite Creek, then skipped the final half mile to Scotts Valley High, and headed down Scotts Valley Drive and Mount Hermon to Felton, and then Hwy 9 back home.
